Storm Damage to Vacant House in East Brunswick
A large amount of storm damage hit this vacant house in East Brunswick. The property owner brought in SERVPRO technicians to handle the standing water and mold colonies that spread throughout the home. The technicians extracted the water and due to the lapse of time between the event and cleanup efforts, much of sheetrock around the loss area required removal and disposal. After extraction, the techs determined seepage had not occurred in some areas and the floor remained intact. This opened the framework for more significant airflow which assists with faster drying. Afterward, the techs cleaned the exposed areas with antimicrobial cleaners to inhibit any return of the mold growth.
